Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical degree preferred.
• 5–10 years of related electrical experience; journeyman background.
• Ability to work in a heavy industrial setting with strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, and communication systems.
• Perform electrician work at the journey level, including installation of wiring, equipment, and controls.
• Maintain plant DC emergency battery backup systems.
• Perform maintenance on 480V to 13.8KV electrical systems and high voltage switchyards, following safety practices.
• Conduct electrical system isolations and provide training on Electrical Safety programs.
• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical systems to identify and address potential issues.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with technicians, operators, and maintenance personnel to integrate electrical systems.
• Participate in planned outages by providing technical support for maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
• Respond to emergencies as directed at any time of day or night.
• Adhere to all safety rules, procedures, warnings, and posted signs.
