Qualifications

• 5–10 years of related electrical maintenance experience.
• Technical degree from an accredited institution.
• Journeyman Electrician or equivalent military experience.
• Strong experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience with motors, generators, transformers, switches, and control systems.
• Experience working with voltages from 480V through 13.8kV.
• Familiarity with high-voltage switchyard maintenance and electrical safety practices.
• Experience performing electrical isolations following industry standards.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and hazard awareness.
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and instructions.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a power plant or heavy industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain motors, generators, transformers, switches, and control equipment.
• Maintain plant DC emergency battery backup systems.
• Support basic high-voltage switchyard electrical maintenance.
• Inspect, test, and maintain electrical and high-voltage systems.
• Respond to electrical emergencies including nights or off-hours.
• Document maintenance activities and shift reports.
• Coordinate with technicians, operators, and maintenance teams.
