Job summary

nVent is seeking engineers to develop custom electrical enclosure solutions for data centers, energy storage, and other systems. You will review customer specifications, design electrical layouts, and size wiring and equipment to meet code and performance requirements.

Qualifications

• Design electrical systems for commercial/industrial applications.
• Interpret customer specifications, codes, and standards (NEC or similar).
• Work in fast-paced, ambiguous environments with custom solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom electrical enclosure solutions beyond standard products.
• Review customer specs and create electrical designs that meet performance and code requirements.
• Prepare one-line diagrams, interconnects, wire sizing and equipment selection.
• Collaborate with sales, plant engineers, and design teams to translate concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Ensure quotes are delivered on time while balancing speed, accuracy and cost.
