Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Electrical Subject Matter Expert/Principal Engineer to join our Nashville, TN MEPS team. The role provides leadership and technical guidance across electrical design, mentoring, and client collaboration to deliver high-performance projects for national clients.

The position emphasizes growth, cross-discipline collaboration, and leadership in developing standards, training staff, and expanding the office’s electrical capabilities within the MEPS service line.

Qualifications

• Accomplished electrical engineer/PE with 20+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of electrical systems, infrastructure and renewable energy technologies.
• Experience should include technical oversight of multiple projects with proven success in meeting contract specifications and achieving high performance and growth of a team.
• Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Technical management of electrical projects and quality oversight.
• Interface with code officials and contractors.
• Technical training and development of electrical staff.
• Engineer of Record on select projects.
• Staff development oversight for electrical teams.
• Develop and improve electrical standards and specifications for the office.
• Quality management per corporate processes and procedures.
• Active involvement in local and national technical organizations; industry thought leader.
• Recruitment and development of technical staff and project managers.
• Provide on-the-spot technical and cost guidance to projects.
