Job summary

Aggreko, LLC in Bakersfield, CA seeks an Electrical Services Technician 2 to install and service high, medium, and low voltage switchgear and related equipment. You’ll work on breakers, transformers, motors, VFDs and batteries to keep customer systems running safely and reliably.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of relevant experience and/or training.
• Proven knowledge of the principles of electricity and electrical design.
• 8+ years of formal technical training.
• 10+ years’ experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical switchgear (low and medium voltage).
• Knowledge with protection relays and meters.
• Positive, self-starter who enjoys working with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in working on low, medium, and high voltage switchgear including breakers with relays, motor starters, VFDs, load break switches, transformers, load banks, and batteries.
• Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment.
• Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
