Overview

Interstates is currently seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Service Technician to join our team. Your role will be to work with our team of construction professionals and provide services accurate and efficient, in and around the Jackson, Mississippi area. At Interstates, our Technicians are using the latest Hart/TREKS and Fluke communication and calibration devices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with owner and manufacturing reps to successfully test, troubleshoot and commission 480V power distribution equipment
• Tests, configure parameters and modifies electrical systems for plant production
• Troubleshoot and repair 480V and 120V panels including power wiring, control wiring, PLC’s, relays and power supplies.
• A strong level of experience working with low-voltage power distribution electrical systems.
• Proficient with schematics, technical drawings and manuals to identify issues and repair equipment.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Must have a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
• Minimum 3 year possession of a current Journeyman’s license
• Superior safety record
• Great communication skills
• 5 years of service or maintenance experience required
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Travel: This position requires regional travel to job sites within a 200-mile radius of Jackson, Mississippi.
