Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Service Technician to perform service installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial settings in Raleigh, NC.

You will interpret drawings, terminate cables, install and troubleshoot control wiring, and maintain tools and equipment. The role requires safe work habits, ability to work at heights, and collaboration with supervisors and crews to meet project goals and deadlines while complying

Qualifications

Must have high school diploma or GED or equivalent.
Less than 6 years of electrical experience required.
Journeyperson license in required states/locations.
Valid driver’s license and insurability by company.
Knowledge of NEC, state and local codes.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate safe work habits while performing electrical service tasks and projects.
Read and interpret electrical construction drawings, schematics, blueprints, and ladder logic diagrams.
Terminate cables, install and troubleshoot control wiring.
Accurately bend and install conduit; perform terminations/splicing of high voltage and fiber optic cables.
Plan, schedule, and coordinate tasks with crew to meet deadlines.
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle; ensure proper appearance and organization.
Document progress (time sheets, logs) and report status to supervisors.
