Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Electrician to lead and perform installations, alterations, and repairs of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. You will manage on-site crews, enforce safety, read blueprints, and ensure work adheres to NEC and local codes.

The role requires strong leadership, coordination with field personnel and support staff, and the ability to resolve obstacles while maintaining project timelines and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Journeyman-level skills and ability to perform installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems.
• Understanding and enforcement of NEC and local codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings and visualize completed work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise on-site crews (1–6 helpers, apprentices, journeypersons) to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Coordinate field installations, safety, and daily project documentation.
• Maintain tools, materials, and equipment, and ensure on-time crew reporting and safety compliance.
• Attend meetings and conduct huddles to communicate project objectives and obstacles.
• Interact with owners, architects, engineers, and vendors as needed.
