Job summary

Hiller in Florence, AL is seeking an Experienced Electrical Service Technician to install and repair electrical systems in homes, apartments, and small businesses. You will work on generators, rewires, additions, services and panels, collaborating with utility providers and local code officials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of service or construction experience in electrical installation, maintenance, troubleshooting.
• Detail oriented due to safety requirements in electrical work.
• Must be team oriented and able to communicate with customers and coworkers.
• Willing to work on-call hours and comply with OSHA PPE standards.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or upgrade electrical components (generators, rewires, additions, services, panels).
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Coordinate with utility providers and local code officials to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and regulations including proper PPE at all times.
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc..
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses
• Coordinate with utility service providers and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A minimum of 2 years of service or construction experience preferred in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and correcting diverse electrical service issues.
• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers

Education/Certification Requirements

• AL State/LLE Electrical License preferred.
• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver's license required
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule

$22 - $35 an hour
