Job summary

Hiller in Panama City, FL is hiring an Electrical Installer/Technician. This full-time on-site role covers installation and service of electrical systems in homes and businesses, with opportunities to advance and earn a competitive hourly wage.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and willingness to work outside normal hours. Benefits include health and life insurance, 401k matching, paid vacation and holidays, and a flexible spending account.

Responsibilities

• Install and/or upgrade electrical components in homes, apartments, and businesses.
• Provide electrical service and repair, present options, and collect for completed work.
• Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers on time frames and changes.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and proper PPE at all times.
• Transport tools and materials to job sites and keep inventory.

Job Responsibilities

• Install and/or Upgrade a wide variety of electrical components ranging from generators, rewires, additions, services, panels, etc.. in an efficient and productive manner
• Provide electrical service and/or repair to customers’ homes, apartments, and businesses as needed including presenting options and collecting for jobs completed
• Communicate with Dispatch, Supervisors, and Customers throughout projects about time frames, change orders, etc.
• Must provide a safe and clean work environment to protect property of others and fellow coworkers
• Coordinate with utility service providers (NES, MTEMC, CEMC, etc.) and local code officials to ensure proper guidelines are established.
• Transport materials and tools to the job site and provide proper accounting of assigned tools.
• Responsible for adhering to all OSHA safety standards and regulations including the use of proper PPE at all times
• Keep truck clean, stocked and accurately inventoried.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Must be highly detail-oriented due to the nature of the electrical field in ensure safety for fellow technicians, self, and property.
• Must be team oriented
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and fellow coworkers
• Must be able to use a computer tablet, smart phone and read a map or follow GPS.

Responsibilities

• A High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• A valid driver's license and approved to drive by Company's insurance carrier.
• Willing to work hours outside of normal work schedule and on call schedule

$18 - $22 an hour
