Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience.
  • New Mexico electrical license or certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record acceptable.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Job description

The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical systems and equipment at commercial and industrial facilities. The technician will respond to service calls, troubleshoot electrical problems, complete repairs safely and efficiently, and communicate professionally with customers, project managers, and the Service Department.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical service, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair work.
  • Diagnose electrical problems using meters, testing equipment, and proper troubleshooting techniques.
  • Install, repair, replace, and maintain electrical components and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot lighting, controls, circuits, breakers, panels, motors, and other electrical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Identify materials and equipment required to complete service work.
  • Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Respond to emergency and after-hours service calls when required.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, time records, and documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers regarding electrical issues and completed work.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all OSHA, NEC, DKD Enterprises safety policies, and jobsite requirements.
  • Maintain and properly care for company vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Coordinate with the Service Manager, Project Managers, General Superintendents, and other field personnel as needed.
  • Identify additional work or potential electrical issues and communicate findings to management.
  • Represent DKD Enterprises professionally when interacting with customers and other contractors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial or industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • New Mexico electrical license or appropriate electrical certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems independently.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
  • Experience with commercial and industrial electrical equipment and systems.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work safely in a variety of commercial and industrial environments.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver electrical materials and equipment as required.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, professional, and willing to take ownership of assigned work.
