Job summary

Allison Transmission is seeking an Electrical Service Engineer to support the Engineering Operations Support Department. You will assist test equipment and facilities, collaborate with test engineers, and develop test solutions for control and function.

The role includes troubleshooting test cells with AC and eddy current dynamometers and integrating hybrid electric hardware. You will ensure proper operation of PLC systems, AC dynamometer equipment, and eddy current dynamometers, while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), EET, or equivalent.
2 years of experience in an electronic/electrical environment.
Experience using AutoCAD electrical or equivalent.
Understanding of motor controls.
Understanding of electronic/electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

Support of PLC systems.
Support of AC dynamometer equipment.
Support of Eddy Current dynamometer.
Integration support of test hardware.
Maintain electronic/electrical equipment in the department.
Trouble shooting of test equipment.
Maintain schematics.
Working in a team environment.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the National Electric Code and safe electrical work practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with three phase power.
