Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. seeks an experienced Journeyman Electrician to lead and perform installations, alterations, additions, and repairs of electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Proficiency in troubleshooting and proactive problem-solving is essential. You will read and interpret blueprints, follow NEC codes and safety procedures, and supervise Helpers and Apprentices on site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Journeyman license as required by project/location.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC, state and local codes.
• Ability to bend conduit and install electrical devices.
• Must be able to safely operate lifts and work at heights.

Responsibilities

• Reports to assigned job site location on time.
• Maintains and stores tools, materials, and equipment.
• Interprets drawings and terminates cables; troubleshoots control wiring.
• Directs and trains Helpers and Apprentices on site.
• Performs tasks with limited supervision and meets production goals.
• Completes regular safety inspections and follows PPE requirements.
