Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Sales Engineer/Technical Estimator to prepare technical estimates and engage with clients in traction power and electrified rail applications.

You will develop a sales strategy, provide product expertise on DC/AC power products, and collaborate in an international team. Strong communication, Excel proficiency, and translating complex requirements into clear solutions are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred; mechanical engineering or relevant technical experience considered.
• Sales Engineer, Project Manager, or technical sales background with custom electro‑mechanical solutions.
• 3+ years experience in power distribution, switchgear manufacturing, or similar roles.
• Familiarity with DC and AC power systems (Low Voltage and Medium Voltage).
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
• Excel and MS Office Suite (Office 365) proficiency.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable in complex technical environments.
• Ability to analyze technical requirements and create clear, accurate solutions.
• Comfortable working in an international team setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical estimates, quotations, and solutions for traction power substation and electrified rail applications.
• Engage directly with clients to deliver tailored solutions and presentations.
• Provide support on DC and AC products, including DC switchgear, rectifiers, and power converters.
• Develop a strategic business plan to build a robust pipeline and achieve annual sales goals.
• Model financials to ensure profitability and competitiveness.
• Lead responses for RFPs/RFIs and stay informed on market trends.
• Attend trade associations, conferences, and client events to represent the company.
