Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors Company is seeking an Electrical Safety Technician to coach safety practices and conduct on-site assessments in Richmond, VA. The role enforces Safety and Risk Program procedures, ensuring OSHA compliance and safe working conditions for employees on our commercial projects.

The position requires a strong safety background, OSHA 30, and First Aid/CPR/AED; CSST/CHST credentials are a plus. Competitive wages and full benefit offerings are provided.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of safety experience, preferably in construction.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • CSST or CHST certification is a plus.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification required.
  • Bilingual and train-the-trainer certifications are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist employees and management in enforcing safety procedures to ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Coordinate site tasks to ensure safe performance per safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Conduct site visits/inspections and document employee work practices to improve safety.
  • Identify corrective actions to bring sites into compliance with codes, laws, and standards.
  • Inspect safety equipment, PPE, first aid supplies and fire prevention gear for readiness.
  • Assist in reporting workers' compensation and liability claims on job sites.
  • Support job hazard analyses as needed.
