ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced Safety Technician to coach safety practices and conduct site assessments in Richmond, VA. You will help ensure a safe work environment for employees by enforcing procedures and coordinating tasks on site.
Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reporting safety readiness, and implementing corrective actions to maintain compliance with OSHA and federal/state regulations.

Assist the employees and management of the site in the enforcement of the safety procedures within the Safety and Risk Program to ensure state and federal OSHA compliance in the field and reduce the risk of employee injuryCoordinate all tasks and functions on site to ensure they are performed safely in accordance with company safety policies and procedures and OSHA standardsSustain safe operations by conducting site visits/inspections of facilities, work areas and equipment; observing and documentation employee work practices and improving safety preparednessIdentify corrective actions necessary to bring job sites into compliance with applicable codes, laws, regulations, and standards, and explain these measures to othersInspect the availability, readiness and proper use of required accident prevention procedures, safety and fire prevention equipment, protective clothing and devices, and first aid suppliesRecommend and follow up to verify the implementation of corrective actionsIdentify and recommend safety equipment, material and supplies for work operationsAssist in reporting and investigating workers compensation and general liability claims on job sites; act as a liaison with workers' compensation issuesConduct and/or assist with job hazard analysis
