Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (Electrical Safety) to join our Industrial division in Lexington, Kentucky. The role focuses on independent testing and evaluation of products to US/Canadian and international standards, with client communication and mentoring of junior staff.

The position offers opportunities for travel up to 50% and exposure to diverse product categories, testing environments, and accreditation activities within a global quality assurance organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 4+ years hands-on lab testing/product compliance experience.
• Willing to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Read and determine applicability of national codes and standards for the EUT (equipment under test).
• Read and understand schematics and manufacturing instructions.
• Validate the project scope and sample applicability.
• Identify and locate test instruments and equipment required for testing within the project scope.
• Develop and set up test plans and perform testing of products per standards.
