Job summary

Miller Electric Company is seeking a Safety Coordinator in Atlanta, GA to lead site safety practices and OSHA compliance across projects. The role is hands-on, interacting daily with field personnel and management to execute safety programs.

Ideal candidates should have experience with electrical contracting environments, strong writing skills, and the ability to train groups of 25–30. This position requires authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• BCSP certification STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor or higher) required
• OSHA 510 certification required
• First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training required
• NFPA 70E and LOTO experience required
• Understanding of Workers' Compensation required
• Strong technical writing ability required
• Ability to address and train groups of 25-30 people required
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment; work independently with minimal daily direction
• Ability to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company; authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure regulatory compliance and company policies.
• Provide technical expertise to establish safe techniques and control hazards.
• Plan and conduct safety surveys and inspections of projects.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations.
• Assist in updating and maintaining the safety manual.
• Develop risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for tasks.
• Coordinate safety training and raise safety awareness on site.
• Ensure safe placement of personnel and job assignments.
• Assist in accident record keeping and investigation of incidents.
• Foster a collaborative safety culture and advise on corrections.
• Perform other duties as assigned
