Job summary

Cleveland Electric Company, a long-standing specialty contractor in Atlanta, seeks a Safety Manager to lead our safety program. The role focuses on developing and enforcing policies, training staff, and ensuring OSHA compliance across projects in the Southeast.

The position requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and expertise in risk reduction, incident management, and safety training. This full-time onsite role offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5 years of industrial construction experience.
• OSHA 30, 510 required.
• CSP, OSHA 500 certification preferred.
• Strong Leadership skills. Ability to teach others as well lead and manage a department.
• Comfortable in public speaking settings.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities.
• Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment.
• Knowledge of State & Local Codes, CFR 29 1926 & NFPA 70E.
• Knowledge of safety policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Understanding Focus Four and how to utilize the Hierarchy of Controls.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and mitigate using hierarchy of controls.
• Perform site tours, observe processes, correct safety deficiencies, and coach workers.
• Involved in all lockout procedures on site.
• Complete comprehensive daily safety inspections with corrective actions.
• Conduct monthly audits: Rigging, Fall Protection, Grounding, Temporary Power, ARC Flash PPE.
• Produce weekly Toolbox Topics relevant to jobsite activities.
• Deliver safety orientation and training sessions to employees.
• Injury case management.
