Miller Electric Company is hiring a Safety Coordinator in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on maintaining OSHA compliance, improving workplace safety, and providing hands-on support to field personnel and management daily to ensure safety program execution.

The successful candidate will collaborate with teams, conduct hazard analyses, update safety documentation, and lead risk assessments while fostering a culture of safety across projects.

Qualifications

• BCSP certification STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor or higher)
• OSHA 510 certification
• First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training
• NFPA 70E and LOTO experience
• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation
• Strong technical writing ability
• Ability to train groups of 25–30
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
• Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and procedures.
• Provide technical expertise to managers in safety practices and hazard control.
• Plan and conduct periodic and unscheduled safety surveys and inspections.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations.

• Coordinate safety training and promote safety awareness with field personnel.

Job Summary

Miller Electric Company has an immediate need for Safety Coordinator's in Atlanta, GA.

Ideal candidate would have prior experience working for an electrical contractor on similar scopes of work. To include mission critical project experience.

The Safety Coordinator reports to the Site Safety Manager. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the safest possible workplace and OSHA Compliance. This role will be hands-on and interact with our field personnel and management team daily assisting with safety program execution, field supervision, training, safety administration, case/care management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, standards, policies, and/or procedures.
• Provides technical expertise to managers and supervisors in establishing techniques and procedures for the elimination or control of unsafe behaviors, environments, and hazards.
• Plans and conducts periodic and unscheduled surveys and inspections of Miller Electric Company projects.
• Conduct hazard analyses of project operations
• Assist in the update and maintenance of the companysafetymanual
• Develop and conduct risk assessments and Job Task Analyses for relevant tasks
• Coordinates with operating activities to providesafetytraining and ensuressafetyawareness throughout Miller Electric Company.
• Work with personnel to assuresafeplacement and job assignment
• Assist in the maintenance of accident record keeping
• Provide technical assistance with the investigation of accidents, incidents, injuries, and/or illnesses.
• Foster a team environment when advising on needed corrections
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• BCSP certification STS-C (Safety Trained Supervisor or higher)
• OSHA 510 certification
• First Aid, Narcan, Bloodborne Pathogens, CPR, and AED training
• NFPA 70E and LOTO experience
• Understanding of Workers’ Compensation
• Strong technical writing ability
• A strong supporter of collaboration in an effort to gather the best solutions
• Ability to address and train groups of 25-30
• Ability to adapt to a changing work environment
• Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction
• Ability to work closely with all levels of Miller Electric Company
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

Preferred

• Bi-Lingual (English and Spanish)
• Certified OSHA Outreach Trainer for the Construction Industry (preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft 365
