Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Resident Engineer based in Arlington, Virginia. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering (BEng/BSc) or related disciplines.
  • Associate's degree or technical school certification with 4+ years of experience.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate.
  • General understanding of electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in construction-related projects requiring engineering skills.
  • Oversee construction personnel and methods specified in contract documents.
  • Review design criteria and assist in constructability reviews.
  • Perform engineering calculations for project requirements.
  • Assist Design Engineer in scope modifications.
  • Prepare cash flow calculations and monitor contractor progress.
  • Assist in commissioning activities for equipment and systems.
