Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team responsible for installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing protective relaying equipment and electrical devices. Work will occur in factory, production, or pre-commissioned settings and may involve equipment previously installed or in service.

Key duties include performing acceptance tests, interpreting schematics, maintaining testing documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement while ensuring safety

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience testing electromechanical relays, instruments and control devices.
• Associates degree in electrical/electronic technology or related field, or commensurate experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance tests on equipment using test gear such as computers, multimeters and relay test sets.
• Assist with tests on electrical devices in our production facility and at customer sites.
• Interpret electrical/electronic and mechanical schematics to ensure safety and quality.
• Create and file testing documentation and help develop testing templates for relays and IEDs.
• Adhere to quality, safety and work procedures; support process improvements.
