Job summary

The Kendall Group is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our production team. You will install, test, troubleshoot, and repair protective relaying equipment and electrical devices on panels in a factory setting.

You will interpret schematics, perform acceptance tests, ensure safety and quality, and document testing results. Candidates should have an associate degree or relevant experience, one year testing relays, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience testing electromechanical relays and control devices
• Associates degree in electrical/electronic technology or commensurate experience
• Proficient with MS Office
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Valid driver\'s license and local travel
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand/walk for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance tests on equipment using test equipment (e.g. computers, multimeters, relay test sets) and ac/dc power supplies
• Assist with tests on electrical devices in our production facility and at customer sites
• Interpret electrical/electronic and mechanical schematics
• Inspect products to ensure safety, efficiency and quality
• Create and file testing documentation
• Support the creation of standard testing templates for protective relays and electrical devices
• Adhere to quality, safety, and procedures
• Support continual improvement of processes and customer satisfaction
• Support other assembly and design efforts as needed
• Other duties as assigned
