M.C. Dean is seeking a quality inspector to join our on-site team in Virginia. The role focuses on inspections for conformity with project specifications, reading blueprints, and documenting test data.

You will assist in QA activities and coordinate with supervisors to maintain high workmanship and safety standards. Ideal candidates have 4+ years in construction or quality control, an technical associate degree, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years hands-on experience in construction, estimation, and/or quality control activities.
• Experience with receiving, production, shipping and quality processes.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong attention to details, highly organized and computer literate.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Associates Degree in Technical Discipline (may be substituted for quality related experience).

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance and conformance with project or contract specifications.
• Read blueprints and specifications; operate inspection equipment.
• Document approval or rejection of inspected material, components, or products.
• Report inspection data and participate in quality meetings and ORM.
• Assist in root-cause analysis and corrective action development.
• Coordinate with supervisors to ensure shifts are covered.
