Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Quality Control Inspector to ensure field installations meet quality and safety standards across our projects.

This role focuses on performing inspections, reading drawings, and verifying compliance with NEC codes and contractual requirements. The inspector will document findings, support continuous improvement, and coordinate with QC and foreman to maintain workmanship and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Technical Discipline (may be substituted for quality related experience).
• At least 4 years hands-on experience in the electrical industry.
• To possess or have the ability to obtain a state issued Journeyman License within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with reading and interpreting contractual requirements, drawings, NEC codes, NETA and other applicable standards.
• Experience with receiving, production, shipping and quality processes.
• Excellent communication skills (written, and verbal).
• Strong attention to details, highly organized and computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections to ensure compliance and conformance with project or contract specifications.
• Read blueprints and specifications.
• Document daily QC reports and data.
• Coordinate with QC, foreman and project team.
• Identify and report non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Assist in training operators and problem-solving.
• Perform Receiving (REC), First Article (FAI), In-Process (IP) and Final Inspections (FI).
• Coordinate with supervisor to ensure shifts are covered.
