Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical in Texas is seeking a reliable full-time QA/QC Inspector Level 2 to join our on-site team.

You will perform spot-check inspections of electrical terminations, serve as Torque Lead, and verify cable identifications and phasing in accordance with drawings and standards. Applicants should be a Journeyman Electrician or equivalent, with knowledge of electrical codes, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with Excel and Bluebeam.

Qualifications

• Qualified Journeyman Electrician or equivalent electrical construction experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical codes, industry standards, and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and electrical specifications.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work safely in active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform spot-check inspections of electrical terminations to verify workmanship and compliance with standards.
• Serve as Torque Lead, ensuring proper torque procedures are followed and documented.
• Verify cable identification and cable verification processes are completed accurately.
• Conduct visual inspections for vendor installation deficiencies, including busbar issues and loose connections.
• Review overcurrent protection device sizing and cross-check installations against SLDs.
• Assist with project redlines and as-built documentation, including panel schedules and raceway installations.
• Support receiving, inspection, and verification of project assets and equipment.
