Job summary

The State of Wisconsin’s Department of Administration seeks a Capital Projects Principal Manager to lead engineers, architects, contractors on major capital projects. You will manage scope from design to construction, review outside designs, and provide technical support to state agencies.

Requirements include PE/Architect licensure or engineering degree, strong project management, and electrical systems expertise. Travel statewide; remote work options may be discussed.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Professional Engineer and/or Architect as determined by the Department of Safety and Professional Services OR;
• Have graduated from a recognized college or university with a degree in an engineering field such as civil, electrical, electronic, environmental, mechanical, or structural engineering.

Responsibilities

• Managing complex infrastructure and facilities projects from developing project scope, design through construction.
• Review and analysis of designs prepared by outside consultants.
• Providing Electrical engineering technical assistance and facility evaluation for electrical systems.
• Developing and maintaining design guidelines and specifications and bidding documents.
