Job summary

Helix Electric seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects in Santa Clarita and the Inland Empire, focusing on water/wastewater and heavy industrial environments. You will build strong teams, deliver high‑quality work, and ensure on-time, on-budget completion.

The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of power distribution, instrumentation and controls, plus SCADA/PLCs, with a proven track record of profitable project execution and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of dedicated project management experience in electrical commercial, mixed-use, and/or water/wastewater construction.
• Experience managing heavy industrial electrical, instrumentation, and control scopes.
• Understanding of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, MCCs, VFDs, transformers.
• Knowledge of SCADA, PLCs, fiber optics, and instrumentation loop checks.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Experience with scheduling, bids, take-offs, change orders, and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead project teams, delivering scope, quality, and on-time, on-budget results.
• Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
• Manage procurement, contractual requirements, and capacity planning.
• Evaluate and improve processes to meet customer requirements and profitability goals.
• Mentor a team of ~3 direct and ~10 total reports.
• Ensure schedule requirements are met and priorities adjusted as needed.
• Interface with customers to validate expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee third-party construction firms and change orders.
• Monitor financial forecasting and project delivery quality.
