Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson’s vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication business, is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager I or II to help bring innovative electrical products from concept to production and delivery.

This role will lead projects from planning through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams and managing schedules, budgets, quality, and safety in a fast-moving environment where products and processes continually evolve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of related previous experience.
• Proven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Possess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Preference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.
• Microsoft Office, project, and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate level
• Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections
• Allocate project estimate into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders
• Manage and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback
