Job summary

BLUvera, Mortenson’s manufacturing and fabrication arm, seeks an experienced Electrical Project Manager I/II to drive product development from concept to production. You will coordinate engineering, manufacturing, construction, and customer delivery to bring innovative electrical solutions to scale.

You’ll lead projects from planning through completion, ensuring schedules, budgets and quality meet expectations while solving challenges quickly in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Construction, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Construction Management.
• Six years of related experience minimum.
• Ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projects.
• Detail-oriented to manage multiple tasks.
• Understanding of construction law and standard business practices.
• Experience in commercial construction, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, project schedules and web apps at an intermediate level.
• Professional, customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to interpret Mortenson policies.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall financial health of projects.
• Support and lead EPC contract negotiations, including technical exhibits and project schedules.
• Lead vendor procurement and bid/award phase for major subs and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain project financial and equipment projections.
• Allocate project estimates into financial system, determine cost codes, approve invoices.
• Provide financials and billings to accounting, create monthly owner billings.
• Manage subcontracts and suppliers, oversee budget and selections of trade partners.
• Handle billings, contract management, and change orders.
• Develop and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers, approve timecards, provide feedback.
