BLUvera, a Mortenson affiliate, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I or II to develop and scale processes and equipment for a growing fabrication operation in Fort Worth, TX. You will partner with engineering, operations, safety, and quality teams to improve throughput, quality, safety, and cost, while enabling new products and capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3-5+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience in process engineering/maintenance with emphasis on continuous process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design.
• Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skills.
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and UL compliance.
• Proven Lean manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Implements process control techniques and procedures.
• Analyzes manufacturing process flow for improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost.

• Designs and develops manufacturing processes for enhancements, product changes, and new products with zero defects and low production cost.
• Provides hands-on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Identifies, documents, and completes preventative maintenance tasks.
• Works with production department to develop and implement technical training for team members.
• Creates and maintains documentation of tool drawings and design concepts.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and production equipment.
• Utilizes lean methodologies and tools to achieve plant goals.
• Builds relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

BLUvera, Mortenson's vertically integrated manufacturing and fabrication business, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I or II to help develop, improve, and scale the processes, equipment, and technologies behind a growing manufacturing operation. This is a highly hands-on engineering role that will partner closely with engineering, operations, production, safety, and quality teams to improve throughput, quality, safety, and cost while bringing new products and manufacturing capabilities to life.

The Manufacturing Engineer will have the opportunity to work across process engineering, equipment maintenance, tooling, product design, automation, and continuous improvement, solving real-world technical challenges from the plant floor through implementation. As BLUvera expands its manufacturing footprint and introduces new products, this role will play an important part in building efficient, repeatable processes and shaping how products are manufactured at scale.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The base pay range for this role is $76,200 - $114,300. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson's incentive plan.
