Job summary

BLUvera is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I or II to join our manufacturing and fabrication process engineering team. You will lead process improvements, develop and implement manufacturing processes, and provide hands-on maintenance and engineering support to ensure safety, quality, customer service, and cost goals are met.

The right candidate combines hands-on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process, and product design. Reporting to the Sr.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 3-5+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience in process engineering/maintenance with emphasis on continuous process improvement.
• Demonstrated experience in equipment maintenance, process improvement, and product design.
• Understanding of construction scopes (framing, electrical, exterior finishes, interior finishes).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent root cause analysis skills.
• Proven problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities.
• Experience with AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with electrical systems and UL compliance.
• Proven Lean manufacturing experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Active listening skills and effective communication.

• Provides hands‑on maintenance and engineering support to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Identifies, documents, and completes preventative maintenance tasks.
• Works with production department to develop and implement technical training for team members.
• Creates and maintains documentation of tool drawings and design concepts.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and production equipment.
• Utilizes lean methodologies and tools to achieve plant goals.
• Builds relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Summary

BLUvera is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer I or II to join the construction products manufacturing and fabrication process engineering department. This role is responsible for leading process improvements in plant operations, developing and implementing manufacturing processes, and providing hands‑on maintenance and engineering support. Reporting directly to the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer or Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Engineer will ensure plant objectives in safety, quality, customer service, and cost are met through efficient and effective operations. The ideal candidate will have a combination of previous hands‑on and design experience in equipment maintenance, process, and product design.

The base pay range for this role is $76,200 - $114,300.

(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
