Job summary

CyberCoders in Charlotte, NC is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical scope on Data Center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

You will deliver safe, on-time, on-budget electrical work while coordinating with clients, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and union teams. This role requires strong construction and project management experience with deep technical knowledge of electrical systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects for data centers.
• PM experience in construction with primary electrical scope.
• Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA codes and electrical systems.

Electrical Project Manager - Data Center
Location: Charlotte, NC
Salary: $110K -$170K base (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead and oversee electrical scope on Data Center construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The role is responsible for delivering safe, on-time, on-budget electrical work while coordinating with clients, general contractors, engineers, vendors, and union teams. The ideal candidate combines strong construction and project management experience with deep technical knowledge of electrical systems and codes, and familiarity with Data Center, and mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical project execution from preconstruction, estimating, and planning through installation, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop, manage, and report project budgets, cost forecasts, and schedules; implement corrective actions to mitigate cost and schedule variances.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure scope clarity and timely delivery.
• Supervise and mentor site electrical teams, including IBEW personnel and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and labor agreements.
• Manage procurement and logistics for electrical materials, equipment, and long-lead items to meet project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, local codes, contract requirements, and company safety programs (OSHA).

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects for Data Center projects
• Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction with primary responsibility for electrical scope; strong leadership and team management skills.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge of electrical systems, NEC/NFPA codes, grounding systems, emergency power, switchgear, UPS, and distribution equipment.
