Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Service Account Manager / Electrical Project Manager in the Austin area to oversee electrical service projects from estimating to closeout, serving as the primary client contact and driving project execution.

This role blends office, field, and client-facing duties, including job walks, developing scopes, preparing estimates with Accubid, submitting proposals, managing schedules and budgets, RFIs, and ensuring on-time delivery while growing client relationships.

Qualifications

• 2–3+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager in commercial electrical construction.
• Experience managing projects from estimating through completion.
• Exposure to electrical estimating and bidding processes.
• Strong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and documentation.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Established network within the Austin market preferred.
• Must be local to the Austin area (relocation is not available).

Responsibilities

• Conduct job walks and site assessments to develop project scopes.
• Identify customer needs and provide value-engineered solutions.
• Prepare electrical estimates using Accubid or similar estimating software.
• Develop and submit proposals to customers.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients.
• Support business development efforts and help generate new opportunities.
• Oversee projects from award through completion and closeout.
• Purchase materials and coordinate equipment procurement.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and documentation.
• Coordinate project handoffs to field teams and ensure successful execution.
• Monitor labor productivity and project profitability.
• Handle billing, invoicing, and project closeout activities.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, and industry partners.
