Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support our Project Manager on electrical construction projects. You will serve as the liaison between field and office, helping define objectives, plan, execute, and finalize projects within schedule and budget.

Bring 2–3 years of project-engineering experience in electrical construction, understand electric power engineering, and coordinate with site teams and contractors to ensure on-time delivery, profitability, and quality.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Project Engineer experience in electrical construction.
• Understand engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects
• Demonstrated ability to run a profitable portfolio

Responsibilities

• Support senior project management and act as liaison between field and office.
• Plan, execute, and finalize projects within schedule and budget.
• Develop project teams and ensure on-time delivery within budget.
• Improve department systems and processes for profitability and tracking.
• Ensure schedules are met and adjust priorities as needed.
• Communicate with customers to validate expectations before, during, and after project completion.
• Oversee third-party firms and subcontractors.
• Manage project review with emphasis on financial forecasting.
• Ensure high-quality engineering and Helix project delivery.
• Proactively communicate challenges, risks, and successes.
• Oversee monthly invoicing and change orders.
• Coordinate with Site Superintendent to assess installation methods and manpower.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes.
