Helix Electric Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer to support the Project Manager on electrical construction projects. You will act as the liaison between field and office, define objectives, and help keep projects on schedule and within budget.

The role emphasizes coordinating with site superintendents, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong client relationships. A strong background in electrical construction and scheduling is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of Project Engineer experience in electrical construction.
• Understanding engineering in electric power.
• Field experience coordinating with construction management.
• Extensive knowledge of project scheduling, bids, take offs, change orders, and contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to develop relationships and assist in winning projects.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician's license a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and act as liaison between field and office.
• Define project objectives by planning, executing, and finalizing projects on schedule and budget.
• Oversee monthly invoicing and negotiate change orders per project terms.
• Coordinate with Site Superintendent to understand install methods, labor needs, and forecasts.
• Provide oversight for third‑party construction firms and subcontractors.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Control processes and timely task completion.
• Communicate challenges, risks, and successes proactively.
