Job summary

Project Talent Partners is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to oversee projects, manage financial performance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires reading drawings, NEC knowledge, and coordinating with subs, vendors, and field teams.

You will lead kickoff meetings, maintain records, prepare cost forecasts, issue purchase orders, and submit change orders using Accubid. A strong background in electrical systems and commercial/industrial projects is essential.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Electrical Project Management experience.
  • Industrial experience preferred; heavy commercial experience also considered.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC and common trade procedures.
  • Experience with line and low voltage controls.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, Accubid, PlanGrid, ACC, and Procore.
  • Ability to use an iPad/tablet.
  • Reliable transportation or company vehicle if assigned.

Electrical Project Manager | $100,000 - $140,000 + Benefits

Job Description / Duties (but not limited to):

  • Manage financial performance while mitigating exposure to risk on assigned projects.
  • Complete and maintain project financial reports.
  • Regularly forecast project costs and manpower.
  • Manage submittals, RFI's, drawings, correspondence, and change orders on assigned projects.
  • Issue purchase orders and subcontracts on assigned projects.
  • Price and submit change orders using Accubid.
  • Coordinate and assist with estimating /preconstruction as needed.
  • Maintain all project records to ensure relevant information is documented and secured. Keep project folder on the company server current.
  • Develop positive business relationships while ensuring contractual compliance with all parties.
  • Provide leadership and support to field teams.
  • Lead project kick-off meetings with project team to convey project scope and close out meetings to review the positives and lessons learned.
  • Monitor and enforce current regulatory standards and company safety guidelines.
  • Help develop and maintain working relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Work as a team with other departments and company divisions.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of Electrical Project Management experience.
  • Industrial experience preferred, but heavy commercial experience can be considered.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and understand all project drawings and specifications.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of NEC along with common trade procedures and standards.
  • Must have working knowledge of line and low voltage controls.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills in, including but not limited to, Microsoft Suite, Bluebeam, Accubid, and online document management platforms such as Plangrid, ACC, and Procore.
  • Must be able to use an iPad or tablet.
  • Must have a positive attitude, strong work ethic and be willing to learn and work with others.
  • Must be able to navigate the jobsite safely with required PPE for all but not limited to: Job walks, additional scope coordination, assisting in high level trouble shooting.
  • Drive and be personally responsible for a company vehicle if assigned or have reliable transportation.
