Job summary

SearchWorks, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join our leadership team, overseeing large-scale electrical construction projects across commercial, industrial, and data-centre environments. This high-visibility role reports to the Vice President and leads a growing team on new markets.

You will own the full project lifecycle, coordinate complex electrical systems, manage budgets and schedules, and drive safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7 to 10+ years in electrical construction or industrial project management.
• Proficiency with power distribution, lighting controls, and low-voltage cabling.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and construction management software.

Responsibilities

• Own the full project lifecycle from conception to commissioning.
• Coordinate complex electrical systems including lighting and LV cabling.
• Manage budgets and schedules using MS Excel or ProNovos.
• Lead technical coordination across field personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Champion safety and compliance with NEC/OSHA codes.

Job description

Our client, a rapidly growing electrical construction firm serving commercial, industrial, and mission-critical markets, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to join their leadership team. This is a high-visibility role for a builder who wants to grow into a leadership track. The position reports directly to the Vice President, with the opportunity to build and lead a team of direct reports as the business expands into new territories and markets.

What You’ll Do

• Own the full project lifecycle, from conception, design, and procurement through installation, testing, and commissioning
• Coordinate complex electrical systems including lighting, power distribution boards, power monitoring, and low-voltage systems (security, fire alarm, IT/data networks)
• Manage budgets and schedules, including labor hours, material procurement, and detailed project schedules using MS Excel or ProNovos
• Lead technical coordination across field personnel, electrical engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure full compliance with applicable codes and specifications
• Champion safety and compliance with CEC, NEC, local code, and OSHA standards on every project

• Commercial, industrial, and manufacturing builds: new power distribution, lighting, life safety, low-voltage, and control systems
• Data center and mission-critical projects: power distribution, backup power and generator systems, UPS, lighting, low-voltage cabling, and security systems

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent hands-on experience
• 7 to 10+ years in electrical construction or industrial project management
• Strong command of power distribution, lighting controls, and low-voltage cabling
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and construction management software
• A track record of leading in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, with the relationship-building skills to work seamlessly across clients, partners, and internal teams
• Base salary: $150,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience
