Electrical Project Manager
Location: Los Angeles, CA
Salary: $110K-$200K base (salary depends on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical construction projects from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. The ideal candidate will combine strong construction and electrical expertise with proven project management capabilities to deliver ground-up, design-build, and renovation projects across commercial, industrial, mission-critical, healthcare, retail, manufacturing, hospitality, and data center markets. This role is responsible for driving safe, on-time, on-budget performance while maintaining quality, compliance with NEC, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of electrical projects, including pre-construction, estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, project specifications, local codes, and client requirements; manage quality control and commissioning activities.
- Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project risks; develop and implement recovery plans as needed.
- Coordinate with engineering, design-build teams, and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure constructible designs.
- Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for project teams, including engineers, superintendents, and field electricians.
- Prepare and present regular project reports and updates to senior management and clients; maintain accurate project documentation and as-built records.
- Promote and enforce company safety policies and job site safety programs; lead safety meetings and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support business development efforts by assisting with proposals, client presentations, and preconstruction strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience managing electrical construction projects with demonstrated success in Construction and Electrical Project Manager roles.
- Proven experience estimating electrical plans, performing bid takeoffs and take offs, and producing accurate cost estimations.
- Experience managing Ground-Up, Design-Build, and New Construction projects across Industrial, Mission Critical, Commercial, Manufacturing, Retail, Healthcare, Data Center, and Hospitality sectors.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes and standards.
