We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Electrical Project Engineer to lead and coordinate electrical engineering projects within the construction industry. Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical system design process, including schematic development and review, ensuring compliance with NEC standards.
- Observe electrical operations of subcontractors to check cost, progress, and quality compliance.
- Monitor subcontractor and project stakeholder reports, prepare and review construction statements, plans, inspections, and remedial actions.
- Coordinate the electrical equipment and material approval process with client, GC, sub‑contractor, EOR & AHJ.
- Develop detailed construction estimates using estimating tools to forecast costs and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and clients, to integrate electrical systems into overall plans.
- Prepare and manage project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar software.
- Oversee construction site activities related to electrical installations, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, blueprints, and schematics.
- Review contracts, change orders, and technical specifications to mitigate risks and clarify scope.
- Utilize ProCore and Bluebeam for document management, drawing markup, progress tracking, and cross‑team communication.
- Conduct site inspections to verify quality standards and troubleshoot issues.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant codes such as NEC and local regulations while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Maintain project documentation, including reports, logs, incident reports, and as‑built drawings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry, with a strong background in system design and blueprint reading.
- Hands‑on construction site experience managing electrical installations from start to finish.
- Familiarity with construction management software such as Primavera P6, HeavyBid, or similar tools for scheduling and estimating.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects, schedule, and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, schematic interpretation, and electrical system troubleshooting.
- Experience working on large‑scale commercial or industrial projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent time‑management skills, being able to prioritize tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Preferred 3 years of experience in High/Low Voltage Electrical systems, ELV, BMS, EMPS.
- Preferred licensed Electrical or construction management or equivalent certification.
Compensation
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
