Job summary

gpac is seeking an Electrical Project Manager for a well-established local electrical contractor in the Detroit area to own projects from contract through completion. This role focuses on meaningful local commercial and industrial projects with limited travel and a strong local backlog.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical construction experience and a proven history of managing budgets, schedules, and project documentation while maintaining safety and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical construction experience.
• Previous Electrical Project Manager experience.
• Strong commercial and/or industrial electrical background.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from start to finish
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and profitability
• Review plans, specifications, and project requirements
• Coordinate with General Contractors, customers, vendors, and subcontractors
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to keep projects on schedule
• Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Monitor project costs and financial performance
• Attend project meetings and maintain customer relationships
• Help resolve project issues and keep work moving forward
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
