The Opportunity

We’re working with a growing electrical contractor that is looking to add an experienced Electrical Project Manager to its team in Austin, Texas.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Electrical Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of projects from preconstruction through to successful completion, working closely with field teams, clients, general contractors and internal stakeholders.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing electrical construction projects from award through completion
• Taking ownership of project budgets, schedules and financial performance
• Developing and maintaining project schedules and forecasts
• Managing change orders, RFIs, submittals and project documentation
• Reviewing electrical drawings, specifications and contracts
• Coordinating closely with Superintendents and field teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Managing subcontractors, vendors and suppliers
• Building strong relationships with general contractors, clients and project stakeholders
• Identifying project risks and proactively developing solutions
• Monitoring project progress, costs and key milestones
• Supporting procurement and material management
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule and to the required quality standards
• Providing regular updates to leadership and project stakeholders
• Contributing to the development of less experienced members of the project team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an experienced electrical construction professional with:

• 5+ years' experience in electrical construction/project management
• Experience managing commercial and/or data center projects
• Strong understanding of electrical construction and project delivery
• Experience managing project budgets, schedules and financial performance
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and contracts
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Experience working with General Contractors, clients, subcontractors and vendors
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
• A proactive and accountable approach to project delivery
• Willingness to travel regionally as required

Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Accubid or similar construction/project management software would be beneficial.
