Job summary

ZealoTech People is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects across Southern California. You will lead project teams, manage budgets, schedules, and safety, and protect project margins on multi-million dollar initiatives.

The role requires proven responsibility for projects valued at $5M–$10M+, strong financial forecasting, and a track record of successful delivery.

Electrical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager / Senior Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical construction projects throughout Southern California. The ideal candidate will have experience managing $5M–$10M+ projects, leading teams, and ensuring successful project execution, financial performance, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage electrical projects from estimating turnover through final closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, forecasting, billing, procurement, and profitability.
• Manage schedules, manpower, materials, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead Project Engineers, superintendents, foremen, and field crews.
• Coordinate with general contractors, customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Maintain project quality, safety, schedules, and customer relationships.
• Manage multiple projects while protecting project margins.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing commercial or industrial electrical construction projects.
• Personally managed electrical projects valued at $5M–$10M+.
• Strong financial management, forecasting, and change order experience.
• Experience leading project and field teams.
• Knowledge of switchgear, power distribution, conduit, wiring, lighting, and controls.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Underground electrical and dry utility experience.
• Ground-up commercial and design-build construction experience.
• Previous electrical field experience.
• Experience managing Project Managers or Project Engineers.
• Established Southern California GC relationships.
