ABM Industries is seeking a Lead Testing Technician for its Electrical Power Services team. The role leads complex testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and power system evaluation across multi-site projects. Requires 8–12 years in electrical testing, leadership experience, and travel up to 75%.

The position emphasizes technical authority, mentorship, and compliance with industry standards. NETA certification not required, with lucrative incentive/bonus programs potentially available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 8–12 years of experience in electrical testing, commissioning, field service, or related electrical power systems work.
• Experience leading technicians or project teams.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, protective relaying, and testing/commissioning methodologies.
• Ability to interpret one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics and construction docs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Lead acceptance testing, maintenance testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, startup, and system evaluation projects.
• Serve as the technical lead for complex electrical power system projects.
• Inspect, test, evaluate, troubleshoot, and commission high-/medium-/low-voltage equipment.
• Provide technical oversight for field crews and project execution.
• Review field reports and coordinate with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NETA standards, and customer specs.
