Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Power Delivery Design Phase team. This role owns the electrical scope from initial customer contact through hand-off to Operations, spanning proposals, estimating, contracting, and design coordination.

This high-visibility role is a single point of contact, working directly with customers, Precon Managers, trade partners, legal, and senior leadership over an ~18-month pre-construction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum 4+ years of relevant substation electrical experience in utility, transmission, or renewable energy.
• High voltage experience 34.5kV to 500kV.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the electrical single point of contact in Design Phase.
• Engage external trade partners to solicit and evaluate bids.
• Lead customers through conceptual plans and finalize Scopes of Work.
• Create and manage project schedules and milestones; hold teams accountable.
