Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to develop solutions for complex client facilities and to lead projects within the Water Solutions team. You will provide technical guidance on standards, coordinate with regional design centers, and support business development while serving as the technical expert for electrical power distribution.

The role requires 5 years in electrical design and experience with medium/low voltage distribution.

Qualifications

5 years in electrical design, planning and construction services.
Consulting and Water/Wastewater experience preferred.
Experience in medium and low voltage power distribution equipment, including variable

Responsibilities

Develop solutions for complex engineering problems for existing client facilities.
Lead projects including management of project schedules, budgets, and staffing on the Water Solution team.
Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff in the regional design centers that are supporting project detailed design.
Serve as technical expert in electrical power distribution and miscellaneous plant electrical systems for client consultations.
Support business development related to enhanced Electrical services.
Build business relationships with clients to understand needs and drivers.
Coordination with local electrical utilities on project technical needs.
Construction inspection and resolution of electrical construction issues.
Startup and testing of major electrical equipment.
Review of supplier submittals.
Continuous learning and development of technical expertise/specialty area.
