Job summary

Gaylor Electric, Inc. invites a Lead Person to oversee the management of electrical project installations, alterations, additions, and repairs in commercial and industrial sectors. You will coordinate on-site teams, schedules, safety, and ensure work meets plans and budgets.

This role requires completing an approved electrical apprenticeship and at least six years of experience. You will interact with owners and engineers, maintain licensing, and supervise a 25+ crew to deliver projects safely

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved electrical apprenticeship program.
• Six years (12,000 hours) of electrical experience.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate the ability to run medium to large-size projects effectively.
• Supervise and direct field personnel, typically overseeing a team of 25+ employees.
• Accountable for on-site management and safety of assigned construction projects, ensuring adherence to budget, time, and quality standards.
• Review project documents, plans, and specifications to direct construction activities accurately.
• Effectively manage resources (tools, equipment, staffing) within the crew.
• Read and understand estimates, with assistance of project management or superintendent.
• Report to the Field Supervisor or Project Manager and interact with other staff.
• Engage with owners, owner representatives, architects, engineers, trade contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Maintain required licensing and training requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
