Job summary

Mott MacDonald seeks an Electrical Engineer to join our Water and Wastewater team in Florida, Tampa or Jacksonville. You will contribute to planning, design, and implementation of critical water, wastewater, and infrastructure projects serving communities throughout Florida.

You will work alongside highly experienced professionals, benefiting from a collaborative environment that values technical excellence and professional development. A PE license and relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
PE license in Florida or ability to obtain within 12 months.
4–7 years of progressive electrical engineering experience in water/wastewater or related infra.
Experience designing electrical systems for water/wastewater facilities (MV/LV, MCCs, VFDs, ATS).
Knowledge of SKM/ETAP or similar software and familiar with process instrumentation.

Responsibilities

Provide electrical engineering expertise for analysis and resolution of electrical and controls challenges.
Design power distribution, instrumentation, controls, and SCADA for water facilities.
Produce calculations, drawings, specs, and reports through design phases.
Support power system studies and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Assist during construction with RFIs, submittals, and site observations.
Mentor junior staff and contribute to a culture of learning and excellence.
Support business development and maintain client relationships.
