McKim & Creed, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer (PE/EIT) for our Municipal Water/Wastewater team in North Carolina.

The role focuses on electrical design for water and wastewater facilities, coordinating with project managers and clients to deliver on-time, within-budget projects. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, PE preferred or EIT on track to licensure within a year, and 4–8+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) preferred; EIT on track to PE within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical systems for municipal water/wastewater projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with project managers and clients to meet budgets and schedules.
• Review drawings and provide redlines with junior designers.
• Support QA/QC and cross-discipline collaboration.
• Participate in site visits and permit submittals as needed.
