Job summary
Millies Engineering Group seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to design and develop electrical systems for building projects. The role emphasizes layout, power distribution, and controls, with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
On-site role in the Greater Chicago Area or Grand Rapids, MI. Requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering; PE license is preferred. Experience with BIM and energy modeling is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field is required.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is strongly preferred.
- Experience with BIM and energy modeling tools is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of electricity, electrical systems, and components.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards in electrical engineering.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for building projects, including layout, power distribution, and electrical controls.
- Prepare project documentation and feasibility studies.
- Analyze power systems and ensure code compliance across projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
- Support commissioning efforts and deliver sustainable, innovative solutions.
